laid off tech

After all the praise and the “good jobs” — I was laid off. I felt dispensable and worthless. My future was out of my hands, subject to the whims of tech trends — AI replacing jobs, labor moving overseas to India, and so on. Some employees with 12+ years of experience were also let go. They had given so much of their lives to build for a company that ultimately didn’t value them. I didn’t want to be one of them. If I’m going to spend the rest of my life building something, I want it to be for a company I own.

So I needed a place to think.
